How does the palletizing robot palletizing system work?
Release time: 2018-09-25
The use of robots for palletization has obvious advantages. The traditional palletizing system takes up more space and can only perform one operation at a time. If the product or tray mode changes, the traditional palletizer must be redesigned. At a fraction of the cost, the robotic palletizer can be adapted to the changes simply by reprogramming, and the new arm tool (EOAT) can be used if needed. Robotic palletizing can't match the absolute speed of fixed automation, but with the advancement of EOAT technology, it won't fall behind; the benefits of using palletizing robots far outweigh these problems.

The robotic palletizing system creates a workspace for the robot or "unit" for handling the product, and your product packaging is transported to the battery via a conveyor belt. Once wrapped in a cell, they are scheduled to be picked up. The robot then stacks them and moves them from the conveyor to a predetermined pattern on the pallet. Once the tray is full, it is removed from the unit to the next stage of the palletizing system, usually stretch winding. Pallet handling can be accomplished by conveyors, transfer vehicles or automated guided vehicles. Regardless of which tray mover is used, the system automatically coordinates the movement of the robot and the speed of the package tray.

Different product types usually have different requirements. For example, a bag stacker may require a slip sheet to be placed on the tray, while a shell palletizer for an open tray requires a laminate between each layer, both of which can be placed by the robot.
